I NEED A GREAT HAIRSTYLE!

i need a hairstyle for homecoming. my hair hits about 2 inches from my collar bone, is layered, and i have side-swept bangs. for some reason, i look bald in all my pics if my hair is pulled up. my dress is a halter, it is a dark grey/dark purple color and it hits a few inches past my knees.does anyone have any ideas?thanx!

Curl your hair before pinning it up and dont pull it back, just use loose curls.

Curl your hair in very short ringlets, and pin the front sides back just a bit. You can leave your bangs down, since you mentioned you don't want to look bald.
