Would you go solo?

Just curious if you would ever go to your prom solo? I would much rather not but I feel that I would rather go alone then miss out on it altogether.

I have gone to prom alone. I was happy I did it. I was able to just hang out with friends rather than feel obligated to dance with one person all night. I had a lot of fun without a date.

You bring up a good point that I never thought of about the dancing with other people. I know that my date would not take kindly to me slow dancing with someone else.

I would totally go solo! You know you'd look back on it knowing you had a fun time than thinking "wow, I can't believe I went with HIM!"

I think it would be great going solo. That way you can talk and dance with whoever you want.

It's really common for girls to just go in big groups now anyway, so I don't think that you are missing much if you go solo.

Back in high school, my best friend and her boyfriend broke up three days before prom (yikes). She went anyways though. There was already so much money spent that she was not going to miss out on it. She ended up having a GREAT time and was able to mingle a lot more and not have to worry about anything except having a good time. We made her feel better by doing a group prom pic with just her and her friends.

Leighdu, it's great that you guys were there for your friend. I see that happening all the time, and then it's kind of awkward when both show up to prom alone. My friend Sarah actually showed up to prom to find her ex, who had broken up with her three days earlier, with a date.
