Well it is rather hard to tell you exactly what type of hairstyle to wear when we can't see a picture. But if you want simple why not just do a plain bun?

I have long hair and I like to wear the sides up, held up with combs of some sort. I put alot of curls in it also so it hangs down my back.

If you're going for strapless, I would suggest pulling your hair off your face to keep it simple and elegant then messing it up by pinning messily at the back to add some texture. Depends how long your hair is...

Pinning something back messily will always look gorgeous, not matter how long your hair is. I think it can always work. If you want to go with simple, you could even just do a very high pony tail, and then curl it.

i love pinning up hair, it's a great way to make your hair look like it could be long and beautiful even if it's not.
